Jayde Lovell, our fearless founder and CEO, didn't start her career in marketing—far from it. She began in the world of science and healthcare, where facts reign supreme, and experiments are sacred. Then, Jayde was headhunted by one of the world’s biggest marketing and advertising firms. It sounded like a dream opportunity until she learned about the dark side of marketing.
“We were asked to stage fake experiments on camera, promote beauty products with misleading claims, and sell things that were downright harmful to people and the planet. I’ve worked on campaigns for breast implants, oil companies, and the big beverage industries. Let’s just say those brands would say anything, as long as it got you to buy their product,” she recalls.
It didn’t take long for Jayde to realize that continuing down this path might land her a one-way ticket to “science hell.” Misleading consumers? Spreading false information? For someone who had trained in a world where facts and truth are non-negotiable, it was clear this was not sustainable—ethically or personally.
So, naturally, she did what any self-respecting rebel would do: she packed up and moved to the epicenter of advertising—New York City—to launch her own agency, one that wouldn't compromise on integrity. But she didn’t just bring along her agency buddies; she also hired PhDs, engineers, and development experts, to make sure ReAgency had both the brains and the creative muscle to match its mission.
Today, ReAgency is a global marketing firm, with a team of talented troublemakers spread across five continents. Their shared goal? Making the world a better place through marketing that puts ethics front and center—and maybe, just maybe, keeping Jayde out of science hell.
